Weather Update: put the downstairs fire place / heater on (aka started a fire) for the first time since summer. Rained all long weekend so have again put all gardening work on the backburner

Brrrr

So...do you buy summer coats, boots and mittens, or do you call it winter? I'm hemispherically challenged.

I'm from Detroit, our bandaids were locating the missing flap of skin and sticking it back in place. Neosporin was for doctors kids.

We are in *cough* Autumn *cough* and we have coats all year round even Summer... it can be 42 deg one day and 18 or lower the next or even on the same day (Northerly from inland Oz heater and Southerly from the Antarctic fridge)

For the snow, we need to go up in elevation in winter and we call that snow gear (snow jacket etc).

Boots are called thongs in Australia

Neosporin is one brand of topical antibiotic and promoter of healing, very popular in the U.S. for small wounds and scrapes.

Lol, yeah the bottle was usually bought 4 generations ago, being passed down from one to the next.

ours had a cork - rather than a plastic screw top...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Ours was a smaller bottle with a screw cap. There was a glass rod attached to the cap which you would use to dab the stuff onto your wound. Like yours, I think ours was also passed down many generations, and always had to be moved when looking for something in the bathroom cabinet. It stung horribly, and I wouldn't use it, for all the reasons listed above.

And lets all congratulate Chet on his return to Twitter!!! I see Elon had a bad weekend, and the lil bear didn't help much either.

Good job, Chet!!!

Still have 4 hours and 7 minutes to ponder my Twitter indiscretions. But I did enjoy the bear/dog whilst it lasted. Now it's a white bird.

Though we had a bottle of this. I can't fathom how old and poisonous it was.
