No Nik on this one. This is one of PP's "Art Effects".

This photo screamed: "Old, grainy B&W!" to me so after PL6, I sent it to Nik SEFX 3 for the B&W treatment.

Peano, excellent result.

Somehow you've added "character" to the image.

Thank you! I concentrated on two aspects: bringing out the eyes (which I thought were a bit lost in the shadows), and shifting the overall color to give the image a Renaissance feel. Maybe that accounts for the "character."

Couple of tries at the motorcycle/rider image. Wanted to take them out of the garage. Used Neo's background removal tool, with a small amount of refinement to lift them, plus some relighting and etc.

1. This one, I placed in a background image layer of mine for the sky and some ground to stand the bike on. Several adjustments to background, mostly darkening.

2. Going for a Marvel Comics + Timelord sort of look here. Placed on a stock (Neo) background and added sun and rays behind, then colour, brightness, contrast sliders.

Reminds me of a movie poster for the 1980s movie Timerider with Fred Ward.

Right on! Just looked it up in IMDB. Found this interesting too: "scored, produced and co-written ... by Michael Nesmith".

One parting shot - inspired by Mark's "Art Effects". Aurora to adjust exposure and then to good old SuperPhoto using "Painting" effect, intensity 7 [edit].
