While Rosey Maple moths are beautiful from the topside, I like to see their eyes and antenna so I coaxed this one onto a little stick.

Have a really small moth to contribute. This was my first encounter with the Ailanthus Webworm Moth. Taken handheld in natural light using an adapted pentax 645 120mm f4 macro lens

This first moth landed on my screen door and was looking menacing at me so I had to take its portrait. I think it was saying, if you come any closer I might have to lick you!

Large Maple Spanworm Moth
Prochoerodes lineola

I’m not sure what species the second one is, but it seems to be sipping dew from crabgrass.
