Explore Scientific ED152 CF APO and ASI 2600mmPro
Best 225 frames of 1000 stacked with AutoStakkert 3.

Very sharp and detailed image. I got similar shot last night and couple close-ups. Esprit 100ED+ASI290MM 4K videos stacked (40%) with AutoStakkert3 and little noise reduction in Photoshop. First is Clavius crater area on terminator - the biggest dark crater. Second is Mare Imbrium with Archimedes crater in the middle.

First image is fantastic. Your second image has some blocky artifacts going on below Archimedes' region and over by Plato. Maybe a bit over-sharpened?

Thanks Greg. Second one, in addition to AutoStakkert3, I ran through RegiStax6 and it revealed more details to my big surprise. Look at this zoomed in area. You can see "blocky artifacts" have irregular structure and they are look natural - not like pixelated image. My fantasy whispering to me: the rock, which created Archimedes crater, hit the Moon so hard that it shattered as a glass. I am absolutely not sure this is true, but looks interesting. If somebody have knowledge of it, could be interesting to read short explanation of it.
I forgot to mention: both pics were taken through Baader RC-610nm red filter to reduce haze effect. It gives more structure contrast and final picture looks a bit differently of no filter shots.

I see what you are saying but the high resolution images from the LRO do not show any type of blockiness around this crater. That's what makes me think it's some sort of image processing artifacts. https://en.wikipedia.org …File:Archimedes_(LRO).png (external link)

Greg, you 100% right about image processing artifacts. Thank you very much again. Step by step I went through the process I've done on the first time. Close-up videos were taken as POI 800X640 pixels. After stacking frames the picture was okay and I ran it in Topaz Gigapixel AI to increase resolution. Here is the point the picture got that artifacts! Artificial Intelligence has wild fantasies. I skipped Topaz and finished processing in Photoshop. Now, same picture without artifacts:

So much better! That's a beautiful image.
Congrats and thank you for taking the criticism as it was meant, to help improve the final results.
Some people just prefer a "like" or a "thumbs up".
Personally, I love it when people find faults in my work. It forces me to look closer at my technique and improve.
