MODS!! Pictures are NOT allowed in lounge threads!!!

It's not a picture, it's a red tail hawk eating a squirrel for breakfast.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Or maybe you don't like flying things. How about something a bit closer to the ground. From my morning walk today.

Point is, I didn't suck at pool :) Good job putting your dad ahead of yourself.

I meant billiards, but alas I suck at pool related things. Even though my dad had his pool table refelted last year, I found it difficult to get a tight rack for breaks.

You know, I wondered the same thing. I've seen pic's posted and thought there was a rule, but I'm thinking the rule was being stated by a post, and not an actual rule posted by the Thread starter. I'm also guilty of posting pics here sometimes. A pic speaks volumes and are often more interesting than anything I would have to say. And, because you said don't ask, I have to ask about your experience with Local Governments.

The neighbors cats are still leaving dead bird parts around my back door still. I have the "belly-up backyard" apparently, and they are thankful.

It's taken me a couple months of browsing some of my books, my galleries and many many YouTube videos, but I'm becoming comfortable and satisfied with my images again. I'm recovering many of my skills which I thought would be gone for forever, and that's just not so. I'm a happy guy for yet another reason, now.

AND!!! I've recovered my Spotify account!

YAnd, because you said don't ask, I have to ask about your experience with Local Governments.

In California, cities can't legally charge income tax, but they tax some individuals' income like this: The city ordinance cleverly defines "business" as broadly as possible, so that any form of self-employment qualifies as a business and is subject to business tax. This tax is imposed on many people who work at home and use no municipal resources not already paid for through other taxes and fees. The city doesn't even pretend it's doing anything for us in exchange for our money. The tax structure is regressive for people with low gross receipts, and then a couple of fees are attached; these fees are the same dollar amounts for an individual as for a huge corporation.

I do freelance work (not in photography). If I called myself a business owner, I'd be putting on airs. Yet the city can call me one because it makes the rules.

I was never aware of this but I also never freelanced. That's horrible that there is no structure in place for the different income levels.
