Although a good feeling trip it made me vomit like crazy after a while. thank goodness I am 60 and not 16 anymore. Not to be repeated;-)a

There is a way to prepare it and then it does not cause vomiting. I will not describe it because this is not a page about hallucinogens.

Amanita muscaria is non-poison. It is a hallucinogen.

Problem is a lot of the edible and deadly mushrooms look very alike in the UK. Best not chance it unless you have trained with an expert.

Yes. In collecting mushrooms we always need knowledge and experience.

I found these growing out of a wet log. I wanted to go back the next day, but the river already in flood, rose another foot, so was over my boots. I haven’t found an ID?

A close-up shot of a little Birds Nest Fungus. These fungi use splash dispersal to spread their spores. The grey peridioles ("eggs") are full of spores, and these get dislodged by raindrops.
