Speaking of coffee, I had my Breville dual boiler in for repairs and for a replacement back but the replacement had some issues. Sending that one back in and getting a new one sent out. Regular dual boilers were out of stock so they’re sending me their dual boiler / smart grinder pro combo. But that I have any use for the grinder but their customer service is excellent.

is it bad to complain about an upgrade? lol I would think I wouldnt want the extra grinder, taking up space and not wanting to see it. Is it the one that auto tamps too?

Ha yeah I wasn’t going to complain. I have zero use for it though, it seems to be a decent entry level grinder. I’ll see if I can find someone who could use an upgrade or just sell it for cheap.

i mean.. i would complain if i was in that situation. i just want the one thing I want. Unless you give me something like a 4080 instead of the 4070. i wont complain haha. guess you can use it as a backup grinder though.

Oh well, I was just getting a replacement espresso machine and they were out of stock so they sent me the combo with the machine and grinder, so it’s like ordering a 4080 and getting a 4080 and some meh ram. I have no need for the ram but not going to complain lol.

This new machine has some issues though, same as the old replacement. I feel like they modified the internals so it’s can’t handle the really long pre-infusions. Ended up doing the slayer mod on it as a result, so I actually have more control now, it’s just more manual.

totally, that's why i suck for taking things for granted haha. it should be a welcoming extra. enjoying the full manual work? find your preferred taste?

I'm still playing with latte art while trying local beans. little too foamy and not a smooth steaming, but my best pour so far.

Yeah it’s fun to have on the fly flow profiling. I have a few really light roasts right now so having the control for that is really nice.

Took the 1dx and 70-200 to the camera shop for cleaning and calibration. Seems to have helped. Need to do some more real-world testing but this is the first time I've got anything sharp at 2.8. The shop mentioned there was a few screws loose internally in the lens which could have caused some movement or weird alignment with the glass.

F 2.8 is really tricky to focus, old images Canon 70-200 series 2 at F2.8

thanks! havnt been doing much coffee. got really sick and didnt bother, i finally got to try out the beans I got when I went to georgia. pretty good fox coffee and savannah roastery. I think I like the fox more, but the savannah has a unique taste that isn't generic. still working on dialing it in.

been playing alot of diablo 4 and am being burnt out from it haha. also made a change to my computer, changed out the mb and... it's working great! the asus mb I had was the actual fault. changing the voltage of the rams helped and was good for weeks, then the restarts kept happening again and again and I got fed up. now happy with a gigabyte mb. will take some pictures when I am less addicted to diablo4 hehe.
