You missed one spot when you were sticking black tape on his name.

Thank you for noticing.

He's remarkable for a second-grader, no doubt about that. The notebook pages show it.

The debates he has with his high school brother on math and science are spectacular to listen to. His older brother is very intelligent as well.

You can tell Ca_____ about some I got without looking anything up: Beatitudes, geophysicists, honeysuckle or hummingbirds.

I will. His favorite word for the last week has been "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis". He says it probably 10 times a day, with perfect pronunciation. I need to record him for posterity.

My crazy 2nd grader( granted end of the year), had off Friday decided to do some multiplication. Also decided to lookup and write the longest words he could find for each letter of the alphabet (yes, he missed on a couple). He worked on that till 11:30pm. During the day he wrote down dots and dashes for each letter in morse code and wrote us messages. He then re-arranged each letter and made his own Horse code.

Here's what he worked on Friday.

According to Weather Underground, today's high is 85. Currently it's 93 and feels like 94. Somebody skipped meteorology class in college.

Right. It stuck in my memory from high-school biology.
