Another shot of the Belted Kingfisher that I posted yesterday. In this photo, he is holding up his prize crayfish so that I would take a picture of it for him to have. I couldn't believe it, so I went ahead and made a 2x3 inch print of this image; went back and left it on the rock for the Kingfisher. When I returned this afternoon, I noticed right away that the photo was gone. I'm sure he's off showing it to all his pals.;-)a :p

Ha! I like the story, it reminds me of a very cool song from the 60's....

"A-well-a everybody's heard about the bird!
Bird bird bird, b-bird's the word
A-well-a bird bird bird, bird is the word
A-well-a bird bird bird, well-a bird is the word
A-well-a bird bird bird, b-bird's the word." - "Surfin' Bird", The Trashmen

Nice shot, Mike.

Nice shot, Mike.

Wild song for the time, too!

Waiting for Mom to bring food....They were just learning to fly. I missed a shot of her feeding them by about two seconds.

Nice shot, Mike.

Thank you very much, Kirk. I've always stuck with hillbilly music, but I do recall that song back in the 60's.
