just gorgeous
Our Robins can be inquisitive for sure
Yours are rather so and very nicely captured Dennis

Thanks Richard, the EOS R5/300mm F2.8L Mk II are a killer combination in the gloom of the rainforest, especially in our winter.:-)

Cheers

Dennis

Wonder what it's thinking...

Probably something like: "It's a big, unknown world out there."

In the field guides I started birding with 45 years ago these were all Rufous-sided Towhees. Got the Easterns on strip to Indiana in April, and the Spotted shortly after I got back home.

Terrific portrait shot of the Gull, Ray! I wonder if he realizes that he's standing on a birdy toilet?;-)a

All three of you Curlew shot are quite nice, Cap'n, but this one is my favorite. The nice blurred background gives this shot a sense of depth and an overall 3D appearance.

Outstanding capture, Rob!

Both of these shots are beauties, Harry! I like the dark backgrounds. It enhances the red birds appeal.

Here we have the endearing Eastern Yellow Robin, an inquisitive, quite bold bird that will often flutter down to a nearby branch or post to get a closer look at you.:-)

Taken in the Lamington National Park rainforest.

Cheers

I can see that this Eastern Yellow Robin came in for a close look at you Dennis. You got a couple of great close-ups of this guy! Both are razor sharp images!

No, no, you got that wrong, Mike; the birds around our coastal areas use mobile toilets - the roofs of visitors cars - and often mine!-? Although I escaped with just a smattering from a high altitude on this occasion.:-)

Further, Mike - Gulls have their own hierarchy - and are sometimes a bit delusional. For instance - This pompous looking fellow is suffering from delusions of grandeur - He thinks he is the harbour master!
