The most telling part of that sentance is "IF"!

I mean...IF aliens exist, and IF they are intelligent, and IF they have technology that lets them break the laws of physics, and IF they can travel accross the universe to Earth, and IF when they get here they like nothing better than picking up some dumb hick and probing his arse...then MAYBE...

The program "Ancient Aliens" isn't SCIENCE....it's ENTERTAINMENT!

And NO...Star Wars wasn't a documentary....

You sound very sure of yourself with almost an arrogance that humans are the only intelligent life form in the Universe.

Not at all...

I'm more than happy to accept life may well exist somewhere else in the universe; maybe even intelligent life.

I just don't think that beings from other planets come all those light years across space to Earth, just so they can abduct some backwater local and probe him/her, or so they can start Cults/scams with dodgy human front men...

I don't think that is a HUGELY contentious statement...

I perceive two problems with this statement:

1. Nobody in this thread has claimed that there is no other life in the universe, apart from that on Earth. Most scientists admit that the conditions that led to life on Earth are likely to exist elsewhere.
2. It begs the question of whether or not intelligent life exists on Earth. What homo sapiens is doing to the planet suggests otherwise, as does the human susceptibility to con artists.

I have issues with the so called abductions and so called experiments on humans, I do not think these events (if they happen) have anything to do with ET's/Aliens more like a Human type event to discredit Alien life forms.

I do think Intelligent life Far more advanced and probably more peaceful than us, exists on other planets and constellations. I bet they have been alive far far longer then humans and would not be surprised if they actually helped our development on Earth, possibly why they are so interested in our planet.
Some of the known Galactic Federation groups I read are Pleiadians, Arcturians, Orions.

Ancient Aliens is a tongue in cheek pis-take...

Not meant to be taken seriously...next you'll be quoting von Däniken...

Their wild theories sell a lot of books, but don't make sense or hold up under scrutiny...

Out of curiosity, what's a pis-take?

Recently in the US, the government and military have admitted they have been approached by or have spotted objects in the air space near our aircraft that cannot be explained, and are able to maneuver in a manner and speed which even we are unable to attain. And it's been mentioned here that there are indeed bil-yions and tril-yions of stars, galaxies, celestial bodies etc., and it would be only reasonable to state that we cannot be the only life forms to exist in such a vast, read: infinite space. We made it to the moon with men. We're on Mars with our lil rovers. And in my 63 years, I have to admit we cannot be the smartest life-form to exist. Case in point, when our lil Mars rovers stall, they are now Mars' problem. We polluted the Earth, and now we're beginning to pollute the other Planets. No wonder they wish to annihilate us. Are they here? Maybe. Are we a part of something bigger? Possibly. Is it going to make me lose sleep at night? No. If they mess with Hulu, then I'll have a problem with them. One difference between us and them is when they visit, they leave no trace...when we visit, we leave tons of space junk, like we did with the Moon and Mars...currently over 8,000 items orbit the earth, some are new and functional, the others are just junk floating around waiting to fall on my car. We just recently located where the Apollo 10 lunar module floated off to, for Heavens sake. How did we not know where it went to? I drop a cup on the ground and I get a ticket for littering...we launch a satellite with an end of life date, and it will continue to float freely with no repercussions and present a clear and present danger to the next thing we fling into space, including manned space flights. If Aliens are indeed here, they have an amazing sense of navigation to avoid all the crap we have floating around our planet. I give them some serious Space Cred for that.

It's interesting that these advanced galactic civilizations chose names for themselves given by ancient human mythology. I wonder why that is. Maybe they're fans.

Pleiades -- loose cluster of stars named by ancient Greeks after the seven sister-nymphs, companions of Artemis, the goddess of the hunt.

Arcturus -- the brightest star in the constellation Bootes. Also from ancient Greece. It is a red giant that has used up its hydrogen and evolved off the main sequence. It's 25 times the size of the sun, which means that whatever habitable planet(s) once orbited it were long ago vaporized when it blossomed into a red giant.

Orions -- Another constellation and one of its major stars. Named by ancient Greeks after Orion, the hunter god who appeared in Homer's the Odyssey.

Did you leave out the Zeta Reticulans? Or are they not part of the Galactic Federation?

I still find it quite unbelievable, the amount of members here with cameras yet No one has Ever seen anything flying or still that they could not understand (I mean a genuine object not piss take)

And yes I understand there are those who flat right refuse to believe that there is Any intelligent life outside of Earth and believe that we are The only living intelligent lifeform.
So guess its a case of agreeing to differ and each to their own.

There is seeing, and seeing in conditions good enough and with equipment at hand powerful enough to get a picture. I do have a story but no picture and it happened in the 70's. Still unexplained to this day and I wasn't alone. Actually the other person saw it first and pointed it out. Made the papers and even in one of those UFO books as many saw the same thing that night. No picture though.

Wasn't the Phoenix Lights was it? that event was purportedly witnessed by lots of people with some videos and photos how true or genuine they are I'm not sure.

No, it was on I80 somewhere in the middle of Illinois late at night. I'll poke around to see if I can find a link to the story.
