I've been in a couple of these in Seattle. Both have completely different architecture. These were a great gift to the USA. Nice image, I love the mans dress.

Thanks! We have two of the Carnegie libraries nearby, the other one is in the town of Sonoma. Unfortunately, they turned it into a rather shabby tourist information building.

The man is in character and is dressed as an 1850's banker. He's part of the Petaluma Museum and gives walking history tours.

our Carnegie library is now the main campus of our local museum complex. we have the oldest lighthouse in Michigan (2nd oldest on the Great Lakes) and a retired Lightship.
