I did the Wiki on Sausage Party. Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill do have some pretty dark humor but I enjoy it. I'm going to have to check this out.

This was packaged raw chicken parts. I got the drumsticks, making soup now.

With just one fried-chicken source in town, it must be a very small town. No KFC?

I've been here 20+ years and in that time KFC changed hands three times, and was never really a great place to visit. The third owner came in about 10 years ago and remodeled the building, hired a new staff and it looked like it was it was going to thrive. At this time, Pizza Ranch came in right across the street, and offered a better menu which offered both pizza and fried chicken. It's a sit down place which also delivers. People flocked there and stayed. Sadly, KFC failed, and the company shut the doors, took the building down and nothing replaced it. Currently its a nice landscaped piece of property and as far as i know there are no plans to put anything in. We do have 2 Subways, a new Jimmy-Johns, a Taco Johns and of course a McDonalds. There are some independent take out places, but the town started dying a few years back, but it's turned around about a year ago. A lot of new neighborhoods have been built where ancient schools were taken down, and some farmland was sold to developers which has given new life to the town, but it still has a ways to go. Our closest KFC is in Ames, about 20 miles away.

Back a few moves ago we lived in a place where there was a KFC across the street from a Boston Market. We use to pick up KFC chicken because it was much better but went across the street to Boston for the sides as Boston's sides were way better. Right now I think B-Dubs is my favorite followed by Raising Canes. Then I think KFC, Popeye's, Wing Stop sort of tie for third.

Of course, then there's the Fat Shack. Good wings but they have a fried oreo that is awesome. When I want to stop my heart for a bit, I pick up 4 fried Oreos and a big'ol scoop of Ben/Jerry Chocolate Therapy ice cream. Simply awesome though the American Heart association recommends no more than one every 2 years. Got to give your heart time to recover.

I just know that I am going to regret asking this. But for those of us on the other side of the pond, what the h**l is a fried Oreo?

It's an Oreo cookie, deep fried sprinkled with powered sugar and cinnamon.

BTW, I live in Texas, home of deep fried foods. Texas has exposed the world to just about everything deep fried. Some notables are, fried beer, fried butter, fried pizza, and a fried latte but there are so many more. Below is a site I found highlighting some of the better ones. Some sound disgusting but actually taste awesome.

Oh no, Americans will fry anything to make it taste better! Visit the Iowa State Fair one year, but bring your own defibrillator. For an added treat, add bacon to it!

Can’t believe that fried Mars Bars seems a reasonable dietary item compared to what JJ just described :-D

Reasonableness doesn't apply. It belongs to a different world than all those extravagant fried whatevers.

I didn't mean to imply that it was reasonable! Quite the contrary.
Anyway, just in case you want to know

And no, I have not ever tried one.
