Living near the coast I have quite a few seascapes: these are all related to the local offshore windfarms

Shot from the shore with the older K100d & a F100-300 lens (neither currently in the database).
The turbines are over 7 miles offshore.

Looks scary, the water seems shallow...

"The Arch" can be scary if you're oblivious to prevailing conditions. These folks are jumping in unsafe conditions during low tide. Locals know that this jump needs to be done at high tide.
If you can see the rock ledge (lower right, where 3 guy are standing) then its low tide and unsafe to jump. If you can't see that ledge then its high tide and relatively safe to jump.

People have died and seriously hurt themselves from this jump.

All that said, Sunset is a relatively safe jump assuming YOU KNOW and UNDERSTAND tide & current conditions. OTOH, La Jolla Cove (abt 10 miles up the road) is dangerous all the time largely due to shallow depth and higher cliffs.

Josrood, are you following me? Lake Garda is a beautiful part of Italy. Plenty of opportunity for good photography.

I was there about 40 years back on a course for 3 weeks at IBM's own holiday camp in the sun, Desenzano, and the school in Rivoltella. That was in November and it was lovely weather and warm even then. I wonder if it were global warming :twisted::rolleyes: I agree about how lovely it is! I drove down there in my wonderfully powerful Citroën Diane using all of the power delivered by the 602ccv flat twin power box under the bonnet 8-)

I found that driving up the western bank could be a bit hairy!

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

That's very nice view, scenery.

Is that a stone survey monument in foreground?

Thank you.
