Outstanding colors in this beautiful drake Wood Duck capture, fotoi!

Super Common Loon shot, Ed!

Lovely shot of the Pied Avocet, Jan! I really like their cool, fragile looking upturned beak.

Thank you, Mike.

Thank you, Ray. Around here, it seem like they are quite common.

Thank you, Kirk. Dr. Pimple Popper would cause great distress to this guy. I know for a fact that this Muscovy Duck (we call him Musky) is quit proud of all it's red pimples. He constantly stares at his reflection in the water, and chuckles quietly to himself.

Thank you so much, Kirk...but actually I had nothing to do with excellent shot.:-) Bill in Texas deserves much more credit than I do.:-P

Ha! I like him.

Two nice captures, John! Can't say that I've ever seen a Chestnut-backed Chickadee, but I'd certainly like to.

Thanks for the compliments Mike, I have always enjoyed your and many others in this threads images and has made me really look at what I am shooting and the surroundings as much as the birds.

Never realized that this is not a widespread bird. Just went to the door and looked out front and there are at least a half dozen grazing on the ground or in the various rock bird baths in the yard.

The OM-1 and 300F4 with TC have been a really good combo and with DXO Prime I am now set to auto ISO with a max of 3200 with no concerns at all.

That's a good looking male Mike.

Now that is a bird we have local to this area. they are always on the shore of the little lake 2 houses down. Noisy critters aren't they.

Muscovy Duck

These ducks can be found in parks all around the US. They can fly, if you actually want to call it that. Their migrations consist of low altitude flying back and forth across the park pond. They are actually quite colorful.
