golfecho (I will regret that) ![]() More info | Sep 05, 2023 15:20 | #7937 Another airshow by SpaceX. This was the Starlink 6-12 launch on 3 Sep from Pad 39A at KSC. The moonrise was the opening act (about 12 minutes or so before the launch). Then the first stage boost, followed by second stage burn to orbit. In the very far right, just above the horizon, you can see the entry burn of the first stage. This is about 18,000 ft or so, but way down range. So it appears close to the horizon due the the curvature of the Earth. We are way too far away to catch the landing burn on the landing barge (way over the horizon). If you're in the neighborhood, another launch this Friday, 8 Sep . . . then an Atlas launch on Saturday about 9:30ish AM. Then another SpaceX launch on the 14th. This one flew low over the Brisbane River on 1st Sept on a practice run for the annual Brisbane Riverfire Festival where the C-17 and an EA-18G Growler wow the crowds with low level passes. #2 is a composite of the same aircraft. ![]() Dennis Must get up to Riverfire one year!
