I spent yesterday with a friend in his wood shop working on a project, we got a shot of the two of us at the end of the day. We made a 2 hour project take 8 because I wanted to make a video about it all...had a lot of fun. It spawned a new idea for him for his business that is the next project.

Getting out and photographing a fair bit lately, loving it :)
I went to the Auckland Botanical Gardens on Sunday afternoon to photograph some birds. The birds must be so used to people being around and close and fed in the trees only 2-3m from us.
The Tui is an amazing bird and the sounds it make are just stunning. First time I've managed to shoot the Kereru. The wood pigeon is a big bird.

On the 4th time trying I’m going to Iceland on Thursday for a photo trip (previous cancellations due to covid and due to it clashing with my wedding this year). Can’t wait but getting stressed currently about what gear to take and how to pack it

To all you fast moving subjects photogs - do you keep your SteadyShot active with fast to very fast shutter speeds from say 1000sec to 2000sec or turn it off.

I leave the inbody on all the time. I never mess with it for stills.

I am trying to figure out how people manage to get smooth video handheld...for the life of me it never looks good, looks like I have a case of the shakes.
