The nation's favourite "Flying Scotsman" was out this weekend with the final York/Carlisle and return "Waverley", seen here in a pleasant agricultural setting.

Incidentally the white cab roof is customary when a loco has hauled the royal train, which 60103 did a few months back and our new King even went on the footplate!

The shot was taken with a drone.

Oh does this bring back memories. My father worked in the phosphate industry in central Florida from the 1960s to the 1990s. I remember seeing very long phosphate trains come and go with the red caboose at the end. Seaboard Railroad and Seaboard Coastline.
