joeseph …. it was just some friendly banter.
FYI, I usually contact members who don’t conform to the theme by PM not within the thread.

Understood. My comment was a way of standing up for the power of words, of which joeseph made a clever use.

A quick dash to the supermarket this morning. If nothing else, it will show the rest of the world what we pay for some of our veges...

Some old root cellars where vegetables were kept - some still in use. Several around here where I'm staying this weekend on Trinity Bay. Also lots of VEGitation.

Note the use of train rails in this one. A branch rail line operated in this general area from the 1880s to the 1930s, so the possible source.

Wow, your asparagus is only $2.50 a bunch. It's in the range of $6-$8 here and wasn't that much less when it was in season. And Google says $1AU = $0.64US. (I like asparagus.)

Farm stand which is usually full of (mostly green leafy) vegetables. I guess the weekend crowd must have cleaned out the shelves. I like the fact that I can compost here.

(ps. I have a few pictures of vegetables on the beach - but not sure the world is ready to see them (or unsee them - lol)

Impressed by the nice round number that a digital scale said my potato had achieved, I neglected to internationalize the weight. Thank you for filling in.
