This is really sadistic... Showing "gerookte paling". Something we love but is not available in Australia... :) Frozen "haring" once in while in the dutch shop, but the frozen gerookte paling they got is not tasty.

Sorry to hear. Years ago my father and my brother catched eel and they smoked them. It is still something special to eat. Now i have to buy it. I only buy in one shop. I have to drive about 45 km to come there. But it is worth doing so. I live in Scheveningen and in the harbour there are many shops i can buy haring and other fish. I eat more fish then meat.

Southern fried chicken. Cooked in oil. It was yummy! Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned. Enjoy! I did. :-D
