Caddo Lake I presume? What date was this, should I ever decide to make the trip down there? Looks like the time of year to be there.

Here are a couple of Fall snaps I took with my iPhone 14 pro max. I have been AMAZED at what I’m able to capture with it so easily. It was actually darker in those shots above than it appears. The phone wanted to make it brighter than it actually was. I had to edit, then move the slider all the way down to capture the mood , or how it actually was. I was standing up in a boat, hand holding the phone when I took those shots, which reminded me of back in the eighties, shooting film, I would have had to find a stump to screw my bracket with ball mount into. But now, I think my phone told me it took 3 seconds. How does that little lens capture enough photons and be sharp, even with image stabilizer!

The water level in the sloughs is really low, and they’re full of duckweed.

This slough has a different species of floating vegetation. Azolla, which here has a pinkish cast, but can turn deep red with maturity and sun exposure.

I’ve been shooting a lot of these trees and sloughs on pano mode, which the phone does a beautiful job of. However earlier when I tried attaching them here, they were too large. Can someone explain in terms that a Neanderthal could understand, and I’ll post some of my best stuff!
