Lovely. Looks somehow like an old Victorian watercolor. You captured the translucence beautifully.

Thank you very much. These flowers were on an ordinary prickly pear. The contrast between their delicacy and the tough cactus leaves and spines was amazing.

Bulbophyllum Lepidum also known as Venus' fan.
And its inhabitants: my wife, a rather seasoned orchydophile, was desapointed to discover a whole crew of aphids when we took the picture. At least they're not scale insects!
LED lighting. Focus-bracketing of 10 frames with Helicon Remote. Stacking with Helicon Focus.

An Agapanthus bloom, commonly known as lily of the Nile, or African lily and an unknown plant (possibly Ginger?) taken this morning at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.

These were taken in the covered walk-through area of Orchids and Cacti in the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane. I rested the camera on the railings and used Focus Bracketing to extend the DOF.

I loved this series; I believe it was captured exceptionally skillfully. The colors are vivid, the composition is well-executed, and the focus is sharp.

This is one of the most unique color patterns I’ve ever seen on an orchid. Thank you for capturing and sharing.
