I just took a trip up the coast and here are some San Fransisco photos from when we were walking around around midnight. Please let me know what you think.

We stayed at the JW Marriot (friend has business points to use) and here are a couple photos of inside.

Here are some pictures of walking around during the day.

8 San Fran day 3 (external link)

I put some in links to save bandwidth. I like the night photos best but I wish I took more time with them. We were just walking around so they were random points where I just stopped, and took a picture then continued on.

Thanks for looking.

These are excellent! I am especially a fan of the interior Hotel shots.

There is one problem though, the third image is pretty badly under exposed, but i guess that is a result of having to shoot hand held eh?

Interesting series of San Francisco.....I like the fact that other than the shot from the Coit tower, none of them are the typical San Francisco shots!

Yeah, that one is probably my favorite. I wish I took more time on that one but there was a really mean drunk bum walking around over there and as it was I waited a couple minutes til he wondered off to another direction so I could take the shot. I had the vision, just should have put more effort in it I guess.

Thanks. Yup, That was at the Coit Tower. I got a bunch from up there of the city, the birdges, the Rock, etc. but people always see those. It was funny becausae we got in at night and I just wanted to get out and see the city, even if it was night and things were closing. I like seeing places in times or views that not everyone (such as all tourists there) see it as. The everyday life I guess.

Here are all the rest of the San Fran shots. (external link) There are a lot more typical shots from the Coit Tower there and some others. Of course the first 4 labeled DSCN are from my friends point & shoot Nikon. The rest are from my Canon 20D.

Thanks for comments. Much appreciated since I am trying to learn from what I do.

I really like that these aren't your typical San Francisco shots, yet they capture the feeling of the city at night.
