Shot some more soccer pictures tonight, once again I think they are improved. They are in focus and I've fixed most of the horizons on them.

Here's some of the best one's:

So guys how are these? All comments are appreciated, I'm here to learn and get better. Rest of the pics are located here at my photobucket. (external link)

4.0 give or take a stop. I'm shooting with a larger aperature because I've been having trouble getting the right thing in focus.

These look much better. The set on photobucket is a good set but I hope you are shooting a lot more than that at the games. When I switched over to digital I had to keep reminding myself to take more photos and that has certainly been a factor in the improvement of my photography.

Oh yeah I take tons, I have two 256 cards and a 512 card. At the very least I fill all 3 cards, and then if I want/need to take more pictures I'll dump the cards on my laptop and start over again.

I've got a few more that are decent, but I didn't have time to look them over/ touch them up in PS. I hoping to get to the point where I can put a website up for the parents to go to and order prints off of, hopefully making enough to pay for any new lenses and/or bodies. I think I'm going to have a few of these processed myself to see how they turn out.

These are much better (assuming you were the one who posted a few the other day and all the horizons were off and some were OOF). The horizon is off quite a bit on the 3rd one (probably just missed that one) , but the shot is good IMHO...

I like all of these. I would like to see the face on the first one, but you stand where you stand and they dont always face you....LOL

Thanks. About the third one, I couldn't fix it (the horizon) without cropping off a large potion of the guy on the ground, because that is actually the right side of the photo.I felt it was better to have as much of him in the frame as possible instead of fixing the horizon.

Anybody have any good tutorials about White Balance or metering? The other forum I'm on has said that it may have improved my pictures (lightened the faces, etc.) to have shot with a custom WB. So I guess that is the next thing I will tackle.
