couple abstract uses of bokeh... a 8 or 9 blade aperture, or a wide open aperture makes or breaks these...

believe it or not, that was actually done with my Rebel XT and 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. That was before I got my 35mm f/2 or 50mm f/1.8mk1.

I like the second one as well. The first one has that optical illusion effect that you get when you take pictures of screens (I've done it before too). If you take a picture of a screen such that the screen is close to parallel with the imaging plane and there is enough contrast with the background, you can see little red dots flashing...
