Hi

Does anyone know a good reliable UK servicing, online image album that I can use to publish my imagery to customers who can then request prints directly, without me getting too involved.

The killer aspect is: I obviously want a decent share of the profits.
And: The site has to operate reasonably quickly...

For example: Photoshelter looks like the real deal except, its horrendously slow in operation... I've got a super fast link, with a fab contention ratio, but it still takes ages to view a single image... Compare it to photobucket or some of the US sites, smugmug, for instance, and its clear photoshelter needs more bandwidth...

Any suggestions?

350d, 70-200L f2.8 IS USM, 300L f2.8 Prime.. And some i'd not want to talk about....

For Sale: Kids -> Will swap for 400mm f2.8 prime... Or a D1 Mark 2n (Machine Gun).. Just kidding... Have no kids left, all sold.

hi, photobox offer this service, you can share the albums with everyone or just select people and you put your markup on each picture, there prints are very good and they turn around the print very fast.

Personally I dont like the fact that with Photobox all your customers can see what you are paying for your prints.

I cant offer you any advice on who to use, as I host and print my own work but maybe look at Everybodysmile - many UK pros use them

You might want to look at Fotopic - http://fotopic.net/ (external link) who print and sell direct to the 'client' at whatever price you set. You have to subscribe (Premium £45/yr) rather than via their free hosting in order to qualify for printing services such as this though.
Subscribing does have the advantage of removing all advertising from your home page as well.

John

Fotopic easy peasy. I have 35 thousand pics hosted with them. You can do just about anything you want.. You get to set the markup so you decide how much profit you make.. But you have to remember its the printer, then fotopic then you. but that will be the same wherever you go.

Will be able to help you, I know that a lot of Wedding Photographers prefer this company over others due to their high quality work but I've yet to use them.
