Cancel the order and call your credit card company and have the charges reversed and stay far away from BananaBoatCamera (external link) also.

isn't it kinda crazy that someone would ever have to say the words "stay away from BananaBoatCamera also?"

Stay away from ‘great deals’ on the Internet and change the last part of your nick.. ;)

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Well, they must be better than CCIcamera as they have a much higher rating:
0.71 out of 10, somebody must have given them a 1 :D:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Sorry coffeesucker, these guys use exactly the same scam, so there is no point giving them your order instead.

FORGET BARGAINS LIKE THIS, THEY ARE SCAMS !!!!!

Find a good legit discount seller (B&H etc), they won't be as 'cheap' but at least they won't rip you off.

Well I have never been taken from an online retailer. I do not mind paying a little extra money for a product that is genuine from a legit retailer and know for a fact that I did the right thing.

These scammers that have several different sites with different names are ridiculous. I mean, who would want the lenses that were given in this kit? I mean come on... Everything you are "getting" there for $999 is bogus.

I'd suggest adding www.resellerrating.com (external link) to your bookmarks and check other sites that you think are giving great deals.

I have been lucky as well but I think that it is because I have a slight case of analysis paralysis, and we learned out lesson years and years ago when my wife was separated from a few bucks by the Travelers. Each purchase I usually invest hours of research especially if dealing with a site that I have not purchased from before. Luckily, for photography there are quite a few choices and each always undercuts the other by a few bucks on some things while others cost a few bucks more. As soon as I see a significant undercut, the alarms go off.

There are a couple of other good ones as well. I like to chek all of them. Pricewatch has store reviews as does Pricegrabber.

Should I cancel this order?
I know I can get the body for around $550.00 online (bananaboatcamera) and I can ...

You can what? Come on. Stop it. These places are scams.

What's up with the minimum 5 posts per week asking about this or that price, this or that place, and what a great deal they are getting? These threads are being posted incessantly. Please search. Please do something for yourself for once. It's called research. You did it when investigating cameras, you have to do it when you go to purchase one too. And if you insist on giving these places your CC number, please use a one time use number. Yep, you better close that credit card you used. Or you'll wish you did.

Sort on best to worst and read the good ones, they are funny. I like the one where he got talked out of what he wanted for something cheaper and still thought he got a deal.

well good advice being buried beneath aggressive critisizm...

folks notice the post count of the OP.. this is somebody new.. New to POTN, more than likely new to digital photography and unsure, as all of us once were how to proceed or what to do next. We have all looked and hoped for good deals doesn't make us idiots, just misinformed..

I have heard of it and have never attended. Will send you a private message on it. It's a great idea for an area meet. Thanks.

It is getting close to Christmas, but there is no Santa Claus when it comes to online camera purchases, especially in the New York area (BH and a few others are good exceptions.) Run, don't walk, away from this scam outfit. Cancel your credit card purchase from them NOW, and don't look for deals too good to be true, as has been said here often, they are too good to be real. I know how tempting it is, great advertised prices, but these folks are without scruples and will make a used car salesman blush with their lies! Good luck.
