I have the Tokina and it is well built and gives very good image quality.

The focus mechanism moves quite a bit and is not really fast, so if you use it for work at varying distances, you might want to consider the Canon. For work in a studio of in other controlled environments, it's an excellent lens.

My copy does not have more chromatic aberration than other lenses I own.
