Almost always Tv, unless I'm specifically going for a shallow DoF, the Av.. and then if the camera is off with Tv I use M and usually underexpose and correct in post processing.

Love the feel of Manual. I found myself over the years using SLR's and when I started using the DSLR's I can find no other reason not to use this mode. Creativity is key and full control is the only way to achieve the perfect picture.

I prefer shooting in Av mode. When using my flash, I would switch over to Manual.

I prefer 3 shot bursts followed by a couple of granades to really lay things down. :D

3 round burst is a waste of ammo on the M16 and M4 Carbine if you ask me. Unless your ass is in a serious jam and need to lay down some serious supressive fire, it's useless. Close range reflexive fire will clearly show that your shot group will be all over the place. 3 shots (2 in center mass and 1 headshot) using a single shot firing mode will yield much better results. Of course this requires extensive advanced marksmanship training. ;)

OTH, my platoon has deployed many grenades in close combat with excellent results.

Av 90%, M 10%.

Once I gain more experience with light and exposure, it'll probably be something like Av 60%, M 40%.

Sweet new gear for a photogenic new year!

Mostly M. If I need to dial in something really quick, then I may use Av or Tv depending on what I need quickly...but 99% M.

Av, M and Tv in that order....even play with P sometimes when experimenting.

Cameras are always set at Av, lowest aperture value, ISO 100 when placed in their cases at the end of the shooting day.

At every 5th round? In combat the only tracers you notice are the ones heading towards you. Trust me.

Nothing beats a steady controlled firing rate and a good sight like the M68 Dot or the ACOG.
