This is the Regal Princess. It was taken from the Sapphire Princess when we were heading into Juneau. The Regal was the first ship I had ever cruised on.

Why isn't there any snow in Alaska this time of year?

That pic. was taken some time ago. There is lots of snow up here in Alaska. Down in the southeast where that was taken is getting some rain and snow. The cruise ships will return in May. I miss the pizza from the Pizzeria from the Regal. The Sapphire is a lot bigger than the Regal. I'll have to find a pic.

Here are a couple of photos of the Sapphire taken in August 2006. If memory serves the Sapphire is about 960 feet long and has a passenger capacity of about 2600. It is rather nice to take your 'hotel' with you when you travel. My Wife and I enjoyed our Alaskan cruise so much that we are planning a return trip in the summer of 2008.

That's a nice shot. Imposing scenery, too.

Beats the 18,000 ton Navy crusier that we went to Juneau in 1969 or so. 'course I didn't have to pay. :D:D:D
