2 GB CF cards for $499.99??? What currency is that in anyway? Wow.

I just bought one from a cam shop two days ago for $80.00 CAD.

I think the expression should be, "too bad to be true".

When did voluptuous become voluminous?

But a 5D for only $1199.

There is a sticky here explaining how these rip-off businesses operate. RUN don't walk. Do a Google search of the store, etc., you will find that these places are a fraud for the most part. BHphoto or Adorma is the real deal. But, if you believe in a Santa Claus, order from them, and come back here in a few weeks and talk about how this place tried to rip you off.

Edited to add: Great, the reseller rating guys have them on their radar already. Good job wth the link Tsare.....

Seems like once or twice a week someone comes here and asks our opinion on places like this. Google is your friend!

It's more often than once or twice a week it seems. I've also noticed that the threads asking about online camera stores always have "????????" or ?!?!?!?!!?!?! in the thread title. :P

They are the most reliable place on the internet. I don't know why POTN is always dissing them. Great prices, great service, awesome products. Delivered ontime just as promised everytime. I love my $500 2GB CF cards. They are warrantied until my great-great-great granchildren turn 60 so these cards will be family heirlooms.

The devil in me wants to make a HUGE order from them with an assumed name and address and bogus cc number, just for the fun of it.

They'll prolly send Guido after me, though.

damn, I should buy these (external link) and resell them for $799. they even have a name on them. :-D

edit: I really, really want to call them up and start off the conversation with "I'd like to inform you that I'm recording this conversation..." and see what the reaction is.

I can tell you from personal experience (don't ask, I hadn't found resellerratings.com or any photography board at the time) that when you finally get a live body on the customer service line and start the conversation with "I've already contacted my credit card company about my purchase", they're a little more inclined to work with you.

My advice is to have absolutely nothing to do with them.

They have the elite package, presidental package, winter package, safari package...

How about the SUCKER package? Or "I like getting ripped off" package?
