LordV,
Thanks :)
The first one was just my 100mm f/2.8 lens of a flat cut of the potato.
The second one was with a reversed mount 50mm f/1.4 on a 100mm f/2.8 macro with a fresh angle cut.
They were uncooked potatoes but after the photos they got cooked :)

I'd only just got my 100mm recently and was trying to find some items to snap, and being as the weather was awful I decided to use things in my kitchen....this is a Clemantine

Unlike most of the macro shots on here; in this thread you get to eat the subject when you've finished taking shots of it :D

Cameragirl58,
Nice strong Orange photo :)
I have never had a Clemantine, usually have Valencia. How are they in flavor/sweetness? ???

Wow, I've never seen peas like these before - not sure that they make me want to try them though :D that colouring does make them look a bit offputting...lol
Great shot though.

I prefer Clemantines to Satsumas as they have a stronger orangey flavour and are very sweet and juicy.
here is a link about them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clementine (external link)

No! No! those Clementine's take way too much peeling, Satsuma's just fall out of the skin and are ready to eat. If you shake one and you feel it moving about in side; leave it well alone, it's too old; shrivelled up and it's lost all it's juice (that goes for the Satsuma as well ;) ).
