Do you know what this is? ???
If you know what it is or a site that describes what it is please let me know.
I was going to take this photo of a dead mosquito on a window and ran into this. I have never seen one of these before :)

First here is the 100% crop of the object in question

nearest thing in any of my guides (actually i've only looked in one) is a Chaetonotus,
c .25mm - commonly called 'hairy backs' (by whom?).

racketman,
Thanks, I did a search on Chaetonotus and it seems they live in water. This was on a window with not much moisture (a new breed?) ??? The guides seem to only show a bit, I looked for your wasp breed but only have a North America edition, looked anyway but no exact match. Did you ever figure yours out? ???
thanks anyway :)

Anyone else have an idea? ???

was it moving and do those long things belong to it ? Could it be a seed of some sort?

larva attached to a hair?

racketman,
I didn't notice it moving but I only saw it for 1 minute. I guess it could be a seed but I really don't think so. It was gone in just a minute and I didn't notice it when I first thought about taking a photo of the dead mosquito. One of the benefits of macro, seeing things we normally don't notice or see. :)

bandit 1,
I think you got it! :)
It did look like fig 3 and it seems to be a possibility (yuck carpet beetles  ).
I guess this is one of the negatives of a macro, at least my photo looked better then Googles

Thanks :)
