Does anybody know how well Sigma DG 500 Super responses to a infrared transmitter?

I am thinking about getting this.. but I wasn't too sure if it will work with my flash...

It's designed for specific studio units.

emits an infra red beam which ensures triggering of all Monolights and AC Strobe Power Packs that have an infra red receiver except Dynalite.

It might trigger the optical slave sensor on the Sigma Super, but I wouldn't count on it.
