I have use between 1/2 to 1 second on the images I posted in seperate post.
Canon 10D, 70-200 L f4, iso 800, benbo trecker tripod, shutter release cable.


EOS 40D + BG-E2N, EOS 10D + BG-ED3,
50mm f1.4, 17-40 L f4, 70-200 L f/2.8 IS,
580EX II, 550EX, 420EX,
Manfrotto 055XPro tripod/808RC4 head.

woah juz thats dead cool! wheres saturn in relation to the moon? will post up my moon efforts when ive finished taking them;)

willy stick your camera in M, set shutter speed between 1/2 to 1 second, open up your lens as wide as it will go (use a tripod, mirror lock up, self timer) and adjust the ISO so you get a good exposure (im on iso 800 or 1600)

very very nice mate. im impressed. best detail of the moon ive seen yet, and that photo of saturn is amazing too, even if it is small.
this MUST be a telescope attached to that camera of yours :D

Well here's my efforts, first time at this type of photography.

20D, 70-200 at 200 plus 1.4x TC

ISO 200, f6.3 and 1 second exposure

Well managed to get some stuff although not perfect. But since it's the first time I have ever taken the moon I'm pleased enough.
