i like the look of this logo so will have a few versions of it i think including an in and out of box look

Nah, the serifs on the font are too busy. I would stick with something without serifs. Also, the difference in font sizes between 'Lingham' and 'Designs' is far too distracting. I really think Fuzzy has the right idea. I would stick within the parameters of what he's done.

Just try it with different non-serif fonts and see what you like...experiment.
