17 years is a wonderfully long life. I'm sorry to hear about it, but it sounds like you have a good outlook.

Thank you sir, I am hanging in there. Need to get out and take some photos

I'm really sorry about that Jim. I know how you feel. my cat died about this time last year, it really hurts for a while. 17 years is a long time! mine was 10, and perfectly healthy, they never figured out why she got so sick so fast.

Thanks Bill, its never easy

Sorry to hear about your friend. Every time I saw your avatar, I always had to look twice to see it wasn't a person with makeup on. She was a distinctive cat for sure.

Thank you, the avatar pic gets lots of comments :)

Sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a pet can be difficult, especially after 17 years. But she had a good long life and was taken care of by people who cared about her. And you have plenty of photos to remember her by. She was one interesting looking cat.

My deepest condolences. The fact that she lived 17 years makes it even more difficult to say goodbye because she has been part of your life for so long. Calicokat was indeed blessed to have such a loving owner. Life is so fragile -- treasure every moment.

There's nothing as unique as a CalicoKat, and nothing as steadfast as your memories of her.

You gave her a fine life.
