Wow....Looks like we could end up with a good size group here. Thus far, it looks like at least nine people are interested in coming out for this. This should be fun. :)

I suggest that since we are getting a good sized group, some sort of BBQ social type thing the Saturday evening? If we are in or near Calgary, I have a back yard and a BBQ. If we are out of town, find a camp site or something? Just a thought.

A back yard and BBQ are important, but the most important issue is, how well are you stocked with T-bones and beer? ;)

Sounds like a good idea though.

BBQ get together sounds like an excellent idea!
I guess we should figure out pretty soon what we want to do. Those of us that are from out of town, can book a motel and then figure out about the BBQ.

What do you think?

I like the BBQ idea......But ya, we should start to finallize some of the things we want to do, where to go and such. That reminds me, I still need to book a hotel room. :)

I say for Saturday we do something around town, maybe the morning at one place, the afternoon at another and then the evening eating Evan's food (J/K, would be glad to contribute). Sunday morning we could head for a road trip out of town somewhere, back late afternoon.

Yes a BBQ would be good. If out of towners are booking a hotel/motel we should try to get into the same place. Somewhere close to the BBQ;)

I just got prompted about this. I will say a tentative yes right now as I am in for knee surgery in May and depends on the outcome of this. I see someone has mentioned the Birds of Prey center in Coaldale. I have been doing some work with them each year. The manager of this has granted me access to all the birds here and will even take them out to a more natural looking setting. While he had not asked for anything in return I think a small donation to his place would be appropriate.

Hello Sheldon,

First of all, good luck with your knee surgery!

I am very interested in a trip to the BOPC - it has been on my list of places to visit. A donation would be no problem either.

Do we need polls to figure out what everbody would like to do? I could set them up using the list above (Saturday morning - afternoon and Sunday).

Elfie:)

Might be a useful idea. We don't want to be running all over Calgary or the country side trying to get everything in........it just won't work. We'll have to narrow it down to something that is feasable. Guess it would help if we figured out the initial meet-up time in the morning for Saturday (can always decide Sunday later). That would give a better idea as to how much time we have to do various things.

So ya, perhaps a poll or vote of some sort would help a bit.
