Hi everyone,
Im thinking about purchasing my first dslr camera, are there any books that you people would recommend? And also wot would a decent beginner camera be? Ive been looking at the 400d is that any good?

If it doesn't turn you off, good used or referb can be a real deal. Adorama has a couple od 20Ds like that for sale. The camera can be used fully auto to fully manual allowing you to grow as experence grows. Oh, and well below the $1000 limit.

It would be a $2000 limit in american.... I would rather a new one for warreny
also what lense would you recommend for general photographs... Ive decided on the 400d (rebel xti)

I looked at the 400D, but went for the 30D. I wasn't keen on a plastic body. the 30D is magnesium. Seemed to built more solid. I was also looking at 5 fps. The 400D has 3 fps.


Canon 30D, Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, Canon 580 EX II
