I'm looking at getting a High quality A3 photo printer.

What printers are you happy with.

I'm considering the

Canon PIXMA PRO 9000 8 colours $1000- AUD
HP Photosmart PRO B9180 8 colours $1500- AUD
HP Photosmart 8750 9 colours $740- AUD

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Get the Canon. I have the predecessor to the one you listed, the i9900, and I am very pleased with it. Be sure whatever printer you get, print a draft quality color chart at least every other day on plain copy paper to keep the print head wet and all the colors flowing and ready. No matter how much you spend on a printer, if the print head gets dried ink on it, etc..., you will spend more time getting it fixed than enjoying your prints.

Does it work well with Kodak paper?

From what I understand the Canons are difficult to get good prints from certain software and paper brands.

Hi Byso,
I've got three printer
1) Canon S9000 (A3+)
2) Canon ip 5200 (A4)
3) HP 8750 (A3+)
And I love to use Kodak Premimum Gloss Photo Paper......
What I found out was HP 8750 the colour and the compapliably was the best......
The canon ones was giving me a bit of....... Dark area aren dark and the black give me some greenish print.
The Pro on the canon was.... the print was water proot and finger print proof... The 8750 printer give non-wateproof surface..... and all you need was spray a protactive layer on top then all you go!
PS. I am not telling you to buy HP or Canon..... These were just waht I get from my printer...

I'm very happy, It's very quick. The quality can't be faulted. Just printed an A3 it took 3 minutes to print and the quality is awesome.

This printer has exceeded my expectations.

Canon A3+ is tough to get in Australia though :(
