Well my wife and I were blessed with our first little one last Friday morning. I set up my Alien Bee ABR800 with a reflector and took a couple snaps to see if I could get something to use for our announcements. As you might already know, I'm very new to studio lighting so any C&C you could give me would be appreciated. How do the shadows look? How could I set it up to get a better result, etc?

Mmm, Jaeger!

Your lighting looks spot on. The captures are great. The baby is cute. That is all. ;)

Beautiful shots of a beautiful baby, well done.

I am looking forward to shooting some of my new grand-child soon.

very pretty new one.. call me crazy but i'd lose the diaper and do the naked newborn photos.. and I tend to favor lighter backdrops with infants.. the black is a bit distracting..
