Cover shot of the '69 Plymouth Road Runner 440

I decided to make a book of some of the 300+ cars I've shot over the last 3 years. When I saw this one, I knew that it had to be the cover shot.
What do you thinK?

nah, i don't like it floating... if it had the road under the wheels (like you cropped the front with a rectangular piece of road - going to the outside borders) and blurred or blended the road into the body, i think that would look better...

It probably could use a bit more shadow under it.

That (c) line looks really odd right there, and I'm not quite digging how you always cut out cars and put them on another background, it looks unprofessional to me.

No offense, and I hope I didn't set you up But you should try and make some different layouts.

Yes. Right now, cataloging the shots is a PITA?

It's in an area that will make it hard to remove, & won't be there at all in the book.

Different strokes, as Marie said? Jon will tell you that I broke a few rules here. My book, so my rules. If we never break them, then nothing will ever change?

That reminds me of the guy who asked if having a meter would make him look more "profeshional? I did just fine shooting for 35 years, thanks, & I hope you do as well.

Great Idea Frank. I am doing a simiular thing for the year for my family as Chrismas Presents. Not expensive (not cheap) but meaningful. I am not all that keen on the cover it looks a little busy. But as you say different strokes. The hood scoope in the background is bothering me. I am not sure why but I thought I would say so since you asked.

Jon didn't like it, either. My technical reply was "Tough rocks!"?
We may try to reshoot it just to bring out the ghost flames, but it will go into the same layout.

I just sat here and looked at that shot and then read everything and then looked at that shot again for about 5 minutes, I must really miss alot of things that others see because it looks great to me, or maybe I just like the idea of the layout or what ever, not sure what it is but I like it (dont like the placement of the copyright but I understand why it is there)...great work. Think the book will look great when full also, we will see when it is done I guess.

Blurb is the software. Same as POTN is using for our book.
At Jon's suggestion, I'm upsizing the book to 13" X 11" now.

Most of the layouts are full page pics with the text added in PS 'cause I'm not that happy with the loss of space using their text+pic options. I didn't try that with my other book, & not sure how that will work out.

I think I've reached a final layout. Considering that I just changed it (again) a few minutes ago, that statement may only be operable for the next few hours!
