He asked me to take his photograph when he saw the camera in my hand, insisting upon putting on his white jacket before I did, and he asked for money when I took the shot, I did.

The years of drug and alcohol abuse show in his face. I like his feet. Seems he doesn't like shoes. He has holes in his sox from walking in them lol. Nice candid. No real point giving C&C on technique.

He wants to be seen & remembered. The pic makes me want to know his story. You could do a whole series of these--I know there are plenty of subject in our cities and towns. This pic moved me-wow.

Poor fella it's sad and that fact thah he asked you to take his picture. He's probly tired and feels his time is coming and he wants to be remembered some how.

That's a sad sight. We have plenty of homeless here in Detroit. I work in downtown which doesn't have any homeless living here. I see a few a day driving to work or driving home to Livonia.

ok technically this shot is booooring. to be honest, it is a shot you can take from your waist while walking by. if you are going to pay next time (for a shot of someone) get down and take the time to compose, and sneak a few extra shots :) ...nextime :)

Man that jacket is clean. And I dont think he was wanting a picture so it can be 'documented' he was once here...hes probably (and most likely) suffering from dementia and who knows he could honestly think he was modeling for you.

As for the composition, I agree it could have more impact if you were to get lower but I dont blame you for not wanting to. ;)
