I have no intention of ever using sRAW, I just find it curious that Adobe is having trouble with the new file format.

just updated CS3 (camera raw 4.1) in preparation for the immenent arrival of my M3... Installing right now.

Sydor25, probably because this is a whole new concept, not just raw, but (small) raw it's kind of foreign and as Tommy says they may be waiting on specs, but more likely waiting to see if other manufacturers follow suite with their own small raw. If I were abobe I'd be reluctant to follow the lean of just one vendor.

I installed CS3 yesterday. Or actually I installed it friday but messed up. I had the beta on and after uninstalling that and installing the released version I accidently accepted the license it found which was the beta license which were expired. I got that fixed yesterday and today I received my new license for CS3. Currently I am setting it up on my laptop and processed the first image on that. I will use my laptop in Namibia but I do my main processing on my stationary pc.

How does this photo look? Too bright/dark?. It was processed on my laptop. (as all know laptop monitors are not always the best to do this but I think mine is fine but it is different than my main monitor).

Looks pretty good Tommy, but maybe a TAD on the bright side. At least here on my work monitor it seems that way.

*EDIT: I should mention that mainly the face seems bright, and parts of the fur... that may have been a desired effect?

Scott

Couple of DSLRs, number of lenses and other stuff... plenty short on talent.

Agreed. Either slightly bright or somewhat over-sharpened, but not bad at all.

You should have used the highlight tone priority on that one. ;) The fur between the eyes look blown, otherwise looks good.

Only slightly blown between the eyes. Otherwise very nice indeed.

Speaking of highlight priority, here's a test shot I did:
