I was hired by the florist to come to this wedding and take pictures of the flowers for her portfolio. She made a moss pillow and I happened to snag the ring bear to pose for me.

A moss pillow, how cool is that??
I think it looks very "fairytale theme'y".
Was that the style of the wedding!

Great capture and I hope the boy looked happy walking down the aisle :)

too bad you shot it so long. id rather have a close-up with the kewl looking pillow almost under his chin with the rings on it. that way is a ring pillow shot w/a boy holding it, not a shot of boy holding a pillow.

Great shot as a portrait! But I agree with howzitboy...If the picture is to focus on the pillow...the picture should be a close-up of the pillow with rings on it and not a portrait of the ring bearer holding the special made pillow withour rings.... But this shot is really beautiful otherwise

Cool pillow. I'm not really feeling it, though. And, there is something a tad off about his skin tone...he looks a tad blue-ish - cadaver-like in his hands. Thanks for sharing!

This is a cool portrait shot for your portefolio. On my monitor, the skin tone does look a tad cool, but it might be a question of calibration.

As far as portrait goes, the subject is squared off with the camera, but I like it that way for this particular picture. I love the colours and contrast.

It's neat that you were hired to take pictures of flowers and managed to get such a great portrait. That pillow is quite a unique idea! :)

I like your style and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Cheers!

Like others have said, if the picture was for the pillow, I would put more emphasis on it either by taking a closer shot or it or maybe adding a vignette on it.

Taking the shot closer without the boy's face will probably even better. You don't run the risk of not having a model release for the boy... unless you have one ;)

Anyways, cool moss pillow!
