How much have people paid for a Canon recalibration after the warranty period?
I have a 50 1.2L and 24-105L that seem to have backfocus problems.

I have the same question. My 24-105 is three weeks old and at first I thought using a UV filter was causing focus problems now, even without using the filter, my 17-85 kit lens on the 30D is much sharper. Needless to say, I am disappointed.
What is the cost in time and dollars?

Here's a link to contact Canon. Instead of speculating, you can get it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

PS-I called them on Wed. for a problem with one of my flashes (way out of warranty) and they were extremely helpful.

I sent my 35L last year for recalibration and if I can recall, it was around $100.

Ok thanks for the update. I'm probably going to send my lens in for the free estimate thing.
