So I've managed to outgrow my Domke F-4AF.

I am going back and forth between a Tamrac Backpack and either a Crumpler 7 mil or a larger Domke. I'd really like to see some in person so I can judge if my stuff with fit or not.

How is Samy's collection of bags? That's the only "big" store I know around here.

Where in SoCal? Samy's in Pasadena doesn't have that good of a selection, so I'd stick to the L.A. store. No personal experience, but perhaps one of the Calumet stores? Canoga Camera has great prices, I bought my 100-400 from them, but I never really looked at their bag selection.

George's Camera, located at 30th & University in San Diego, has so many bags it should be illegal. If you can't find one there, it's highly likely you won't find one at all...

Samys at Fairfax has quite big collection of bags. Store in Santa Ana is not bad either, but I would still rather go to Fairfax for that... or pretty much everything else :) I believe there might be something else too, but those two are store of my choice when I'm in LA :)

I'll second this... And they just started stocking Think Tank bags.

The Samy's in Santa Ana has a pretty good selection, although they didn't have the one I wanted to look at when I went in there...

What part of S.D. are we talkin about? I'm not familiar with that address? Is it downtown or closer to North County?

They are in the neighborhood of the intersection of the 805 and the 15.

Definitely closer to downtown.

Take the 805 to North Park Way. Go straight through the stop sign, and keep going straight until you hit 30th Street, where you'll make a right. They''ll be on the right.

Parking can be a bit of a pain...

I was in Samy's on Fairfax in LA a couple of months ago and their selection of ThinkTank bags, holsters, etc. was very poor.

I'd check with them ahead of time about particular items of interest if you're driving some distance to get there.

Canoga Camera in Canoga Park (LA suburb).

Gear: Kodak Brownie and homemade pin-hole cameras. Burlap sack for a bag.
