Just a Signature question

If you wouldn't mind sharing your opinion on this:
I normally have my signature listing my name, equipment and web page

However I was thinking (which can get me in trouble) about just putting a link to a page I made listing my equipment along with some links to help answer a question or two

Do both....

One link for the equipment (which lots of people do), it's what many people refer to when they might be interested in how you took your shots.

The other link could be for your list of tutorials.

So one link could be "What I shoot with", and the other "How I shoot".

Sound sensible?

I don't care for a list of equipment. It does not help me when looking at a particular shot, so when I post a shot for critique or viewing, I list the equipment and settings for that shot. That way, a viewer does not have to wonder which body, or which lens, etc, etc - the specific information is included where it is actually useful.

Oh, on your list you forgot to include what capacity flash cards you have and what type of lens wipes you use.

But it's of inestimable help when you're asking or answering equipment questions. In the first case, we don't go and recommend something you already have. In the second, you can see if we have any basis for knowing about the piece of gear we're decaliming about.

Lens tissue brand and card capacity are for the extremely abstruse questions.

I'd rather people judge me for my opinions and my images over what gear I own.

Pete - ex2 does do both "My Photography Equipment"

Radtech1 - my equipment isn't listed for my photo posting, for each (ok about 90%) of all photos I post I make a web page with the Exif data. It's really like what Jon said, in that they can see I have the equipment I am offering help on or suggesting.

Jon - I wonder if its one of those cheap 600-1200 $159 lens?
