I have been taking sports photographs (mainly soccer) just over a year now.
I am finally getting used to the Canon 300mm f4 IS lens after really having doubts about using a prime lens. The lens is great but I felt I was missing SO much action by not having a zoom. I stuck with DARRENL's advice to stick with it, and now I find it extremely difficult to shoot with a zoom. C+C wanted please from my latest match Barkingside 0-2 Brimsdown Rovers in the English FA VASE. Both pics shot at 300mm ISO 800

#1 and #2 are my favourites but the only way they could be improved is by your timing. The ball is travelling away from the players so the main crunch was a split second earlier.
