Can anyone explain to me what changes the different picture styles make to RAW images? The description of the styles suggest changes to vibrancy and so on, but the only obvious parameter which changes is the sharpness setting as everyting else is set to "0" - or is there something else I'm not seeing, or does it only affect JPEG images?

Thanks.

racingsafetyman,
I believe it depends on the software you are using. ex DPP shows the photo with the picture style settings applied. Ex. if you shot a raw image with the monochrome setting, your photo will show up as a monochrome photo in DPP. Of course you can change the settings to your like and even have it as color :)

If you shoot RAW then picture styles don't affect it since RAW is unprocessed picture. Picture styles work only with JPEG pictures where he compress it. You can add styles to RAW file in DPP.
